Meet the Staff
Sebastian Johnson, Co-Founder and Editor
Sebastian is a Senior Associate with Freedman Consulting, LLC and a passionate believer in the role public policy can play in bettering lives. From 2014 to 2016 Sebastian was the state policy fellow at the Institution on Taxation and Economic Policy. He earned a Masters in Public Policy with a concentration in social and urban policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in May 2014. Prior to that, he taught third grade at a charter school in Lawrence, MA. Sebastian has worked in politics and policy at the local, state and federal level, serving stints in the offices of Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, Congressman Chris Van Hollen, and Montgomey County Councilmember George Leventhal. His areas of policy expertise are transportation, education, economics, budget and taxation, and housing. He is also giant nerd for history, politics, and useless trivia of all kinds.
Jeremy Griffith, Co-Founder and Editor
Jeremy is an artist and game developer, having contributed to the Bioshock and Call of Duty franchises. He currently works as an independent game developer and explores philosophy and political science on the side. He studied the arts at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, after having studied philosophy at Johns Hopkins University.
Angie Hoxie, Pop Culture Editor
Angie is a content writer living in Brooklyn, New York. She went to Eastern Michigan University where she studied Political Science, Women’s Studies, and a growing Netflix queue. She can turn any conversation about the Real Housewives into an argument about gender and heteronormativity. She is caught up with the Kardashians. Her goal in life is to make fetch happen.
